DETROIT, MI- Auto supplier Aisin will officially open a new $13 million North American headquarters Monday in Metro Detroit.
The 200,000 square-foot facility in Northville Township houses 350 employees and serves as the combined North American headquarters for Aisin World Corp. of America and Aisin Technical Center of America – two subsidiary companies of Japan-based Aisin.
The investment is one of the most recent examples of auto suppliers creating jobs and investing in Michigan. According to data from the Center for Automotive Research and Michigan Economic Development Corp.’s Automotive Industry Office, Michigan auto suppliers announced about $5 billion in new investments and more than 28,000 jobs from 2009-2013.
