The new Battery Technician certification, procured by Henry Ford College, focuses on the skills required for designing, operating, testing, maintaining, and replacing battery cells and packs across various applications.

Participants will learn about Battery Management systems, the charging and maintenance of batteries, and the recycling process. A significant portion of the program will be dedicated to the safe handling of electrical components in relation to battery technology, ensuring safety for both individuals and the environment.

This program is offered by Henry Ford College, Macomb Community College, and Mott Community College, and is supported by the Michigan Workforce Training and Education Collaborative.
