Detroit Public TV’s One Detroit presents the first of a monthly series of digital town halls on the pathway to prosperity for all the state’s people
Watch it on Wednesdays at noon ET on Facebook Live.
Detroit Public TV’s One Detroit bureau is launching a monthly series of digital town halls, offering a forum for some of the keenest minds, leading activists and outspoken visionaries in our community.
Leading these discussions will be One Detroit Associate Producer Will Glover. He will be joined each month by a co-host chosen from among our most respected business journalists, along with an equally impressive panel of experts exploring topics of vital importance if our state is to survive and flourish.
The first event takes place this Wednesday, April 13, at noon ET. Will Glover and guest host Chad Livengood, senior editor at Crain’s Detroit Business, talk with panelists Britany Affolter-Caine, executive direction of the University Research Corridor, and Jennifer Llewellyn, director of Oakland County Michigan Works!
Among the topics under discussion are the state’s current job and economic status, necessary amenities and other needs to be competitive in the fight for economic growth and what must be done to raise the overall quality of life in Michigan.
Join the conversation on Facebook Live or on One Detroit’s YouTube channel. Viewers are able to ask questions to the panelists and offer their own observations. For more information, visit OneDetroitPBS.org
