Jumpstart Recovery with Registered Apprenticeship!

Join MEATA (Michigan Educators Apprenticeship Training Association) in-person or virtually for a day packed with valuable apprenticeship information. The theme for the conference is “Jumpstart Recovery with Registered Apprenticeship!”
When: Wed., Nov. 10, 2021 – 9:00am – 3:00pm
Where: Community Rooms A & B, Kirtland Community College, Grayling Campus (4800 W. 4 Mile Road, Grayling, MI)
Registration opens and breakfast will be available at 8:00 am. The conference will start at
9:00am with a welcome from Kirtland Community College President, Dr. Thomas Quinn and MEATA President, Kevin Green. Sessions will include:
- A panel discussion, moderated by DOL State Director Russ Davis, focused on what union apprenticeship programs are doing to jumpstart recovery post-pandemic
- Updates from the U.S. Dept of Labor and Michigan’s Dept. of Labor & Economic Opportunity on registered apprenticeship expansion efforts and funding to assist those efforts
- A look at multiple State Apprenticeship Expansion grant consortia partnerships working at the state, regional and local levels
The day wraps up with a tour of Kirtland Community College’s Grayling campus, with an emphasis on the programs that connect with apprenticeship.
