Oakland County cities, villages and townships are not immune to staffing shortages and the challenges of retaining workers. For this reason, local officials are invited to participate in a special virtual workshop on public sector apprenticeship programs on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

These apprenticeship programs are designed to provide workers who are eager to learn and contribute as loyal employees. Oakland County Human Resources and the Oakland County Michigan Works! Apprenticeship Success Coordinator will share their experiences in building a U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program for the county.
