SEMCOG’s October 13, 2022 General Assembly meeting is packed with important content and input opportunities for local officials and staff. A year after discussing the New Future of Southeast Michigan and what it will take to make that future bright, the conversation continues.

Plenary sessions for this event will focus on the 2050 Regional Forecast, including outcomes based on different scenarios, as well as SEMCOG’s Policy Platform for the 2023-2024 state and federal legislative sessions.

Breakout sessions will feature how communities can prepare for fleet vehicle electrification and smart charging deployment; an update on water infrastructure legislation and funding; transportation safety priorities; updated tools from SEMCOG Data Analysis; strategies for commercial district revitalization; and an update on the region’s greenhouse gas emissions inventory and local strategies focused on mitigation and sustainability.
