Today, August 2, 2017, is my last day at WIN. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with all of you over the past 6 years to help employers find the talent that they need for success. WIN began with a staff of one funded by a New Economy Initiative grant and has evolved into a multifaceted organization with over 20 team members.  The team provides support as a data and research organization and innovation incubator, growing workforce initiatives such as MI Bright Future, Advance Michigan Center for Apprenticeship Innovation, Advance Michigan Catalyst (robotics and automation training), Michigan Alliance for Greater Mobility Advancement (MAGMA), and many others. Without a doubt, WIN’s success is due to the commitment of its dedicated board members, staff, partners, and supporters.

On Monday, August 14, I will begin a new adventure as the Senior Program Office for Economic Vitality and Entrepreneurship at the William Davidson Foundation. I am excited about this new opportunity to help reimagine the future of the Detroit regional economy and explore how to continue growing jobs and connecting people to jobs in the community. You can reach me beginning August 14 at lkatz@williamdavidson.org.  My cellphone number will remain 248.762.4596.

In the meantime, the interim Executive Director at WIN will be Tricia Walding (tricia.walding@winintelligence.org). Jeremy Rosenberg (Jeremy.rosenberg@winintelligence.org), WIN’s Team Coordinator, can assist you in reaching any other WIN team member who might be able to assist you. For any other specific staff needs, please visit the WIN staff landing page and reach out to the WIN team for whatever additional questions arise: https://winintelligence.org/about-us/staff/

Thank you all for your partnership and friendship.  I look forward to connecting with you in new and exciting ways in the future.
