Event Honors Students Who Commit to an OCC Technical or Public Safety Program for Fall 2023 Semester
OCC is inviting area high school seniors to participate in a National Signing Day Thursday, April 20 and sign a “Letter of Intent” to pursue a degree or certificate in one of the College’s technical or public service programs beginning the Fall 2023 semester.
The event mirrors the NCAA’s National Signing Day for students who commit to play sports in college. OCC is one of many community colleges around the country that will be simultaneously hosting signing day ceremonies and the event will be video streamed live.
“This event is designed to celebrate students who plan to prepare for a technical or public safety career, and it emphasizes OCC’s commitment to help students gain the skills necessary to compete in these high demand occupations, “said Joseph Petrosky, associate provost of academics and workforce.
OCC’s National Signing Day event will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Thursday, April 20, 2023, on OCC’s Auburn Hills campus.
At the event, students will:
-Sign their Letter of Intent to Commit to an OCC Academic Program for the 2023 school year
-Meet OCC Faculty and Tour College Facilities
-Learn about Scholarship Opportunities
