Alysha Albrecht is the Communications Specialists for the Workforce Intelligence Network of Southeast Michigan (WIN). At WIN, Alysha helps develop and execute workforce news and information in annual Labor Market Reports, press releases, e-newsletters, social media platforms, and multiple websites. She redesigned the WIN 2021 Annual Reports, Labor Market Reports, Commuter Pattern Reports, and EV Jobs Academy Career Profiles; focusing on careers in the EV and mobility sectors. She recently designed and launched the first Michigan Career and Resource Guide. She also assisted the WIN Executive Director and staff in grant funding efforts and communication best practices, which helped WIN secure a $5.8 million U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Building America grant in June of 2022.
Alysha produces data-driven marketing campaigns for grant initiatives including success stories and newsletters. Her passion involves building employer relationships and strategies to maintain relationships and professional connections while establishing media relations campaigns to promote positive recognition of board members and workforce leaders. Her well-rounded experience allows her to write, prepare, and publish press releases, case studies, annual reports, workforce guides, and data reports. Most recently, she helped organize a battery technology press release sent out through the State of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Office and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.
While previously serving as a Communications Specialist for Van Buren Charter Township, Albrecht’s work has been published in MLive, WXYZ Local Channel 7, WDIV Local Channel 4, Detroit Free Press, Belleville Beat, Van Buren Today & The Belleville Independent. As a Training and Facility Coordinator at the City of Ann Arbor’s Community Television Network (CTN) her media literacy programs were published in a scholarly journal; Art as a Way of Talking for Emergent Bilingual Youth by Routledge and helped to secure grants for the Ann Arbor YMCA & Neural Zone. Albrecht holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Central Michigan University, focusing on Integrative Public Relations, Media, Design, and Technology.
In her free time, she holds state and federal permits to rehabilitate birds of prey and enjoys being outdoors with her husband and son.
