Colleen Azimi is a Program Assistant for MI Bright Future at the Workforce Intelligence Network. Her duties focus on bridging the gap between industry and education to improve employment outcomes for Michigan students and the talent pipeline for local businesses. In this role, Colleen provides support to the technical administration of the program and helps develop strategies and policies for MI Bright Future success.
Colleen brings over five years of experience in administration, customer service, and project coordination in the nonprofit sector to this role. Having previously worked at world-renowned museums and universities, she has maintained efficient operations and provided innovative solutions that helped improve workflow and output. Through her experience, she has continued to develop her soft and technical skills in research, communications, writing, and managing social platforms.
Originally from New York state, Colleen has also lived in Canada and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before moving to Michigan. She has a bachelor’s and master’s in history, focusing on making history accessible and relatable to the general public at large.
