Deja is the Research Assistant for the Workforce Intelligence Network for Southeast Michigan. She will support WIN’s research managers and other staff, performing research and analysis for quarterly labor market reports and other research projects.
Prior to joining the WIN’s team, Deja worked in and around many municipalities in the State of Michigan, providing sustainable programming and consulting to the City of Detroit, City of Highland Park, City of Lansing, and the City of Flint. During this time, she achieved five years of experience in the planning profession, in addition to becoming experienced in a variety of software programs. She brings a multitude of skills from her previous positions, including research and analysis, community development, community facilitation, affordable housing creation, policy, and data collection.
Deja is a Detroit native and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University. She is currently scheduled to receive her Master of Science Degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a specialization in Community and Housing Development from Wayne State University in August of 2019.
