John Sullivan is a Program Manager for the Workforce Intelligence Network for Southeast Michigan. He manages projects related to employer engagement efforts and innovative talent solutions around information technology; specifically, Apprenti, a nationally recognized registered IT apprenticeship program. His work also focuses on convening and facilitating activities of the information technology cluster in a collaborative effort to raise awareness of and shape community response to the industry’s talent, customer, supply chain, and other growth needs to improve both the industry itself and the region.
Prior to coming to WIN, John worked as Project Manager for a global network services company where he oversaw a team tasked with the deployment and maintenance of custom managed wide area network services to enterprise level businesses. His work also involved the procurement and deployment of VoIP services, structured cabling and computer networking devices.
John also spent eight years as a member of the Army National Guard, one of which was in combat in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his time in service, John attained the rank of Sergeant and gained critical training in leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
John is originally from Brockton, Massachusetts but now calls Ypsilanti home. He attained a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts.
