Josh Koning is an Implementation Coordinator for MI Bright Future at the Workforce Intelligence Network for Southeast Michigan. In this role, Josh provides local schools and communities with the planning, training, and facilitating support necessary to deploy MI Bright Future in their school districts. Josh also focuses on creating collaborative partnerships with students, schools, and local businesses to help students develop career awareness and work-based learning opportunities.
Josh previously worked as a high school teacher, where he taught Government and U.S. History, and as an Education Specialist for C-SPAN. At C-SPAN, he was responsible for creating educational resources for schools and assisting those schools and teachers with implementing the resources into their curriculum. Josh’s past experiences strengthened his understanding of the education system in and out of the classroom, as well as his passion for working with students, schools, and communities.
Josh is a Michigan native and he graduated from Hope College with a bachelor’s degree in History and Education and obtained a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University.
