Karley Thurston is a Research Assistant for the Workforce Intelligence Network for Southeast Michigan (WIN). In this role, she assists the Senior Project Manager for Data and Research, the Senior Research Manager, and the rest of the data team to fulfill data requests and workforce research projects. These projects range from providing data analysis for WIN’s Labor Market reports and helping update data tools to responding to data requests and ongoing research on employment barriers.
Karley is from Auburn, Washington. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from Western Washington University. Prior to joining WIN, Karley attended California State University Long Beach, taking graduate courses and teaching a lab in economic statistics. Her previous research utilized regional manufacturing data to aid in economic impact analysis and produce county forecasts. Volunteering with youth and community nutrition initiatives has inspired her comprehensive interest in building strong talent pathways in Southeast Michigan.
