Pamela Mohar is a Workforce Project Manager for WIN.
Before changing industries, Pamela Mohar worked as a retail manager for over a decade focusing on recruiting, hiring, and training staff. After exiting the retail industry, she attended Eastern Michigan University where she studied Communication Technology and Information Systems. In 2021, she earned a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from EMU. During this time, Pamela wrote for The Eastern Echo and worked in the University Advising and Career Development Center. She went on to manage the marketing & membership outreach for the EMU Recreational Center and Intramural Sports (REC/IM) Department. Prior to joining the WIN team, Pamela served as the Communications Coordinator for the Michigan Theater Foundation in Ann Arbor.
She is passionate about non-profit work because of the opportunity it provides to uplift communities and connect them to life-changing resources. She is also an advocate for diversity which landed her a feature in the Ann Arbor Concentrate online magazine for assisting with a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon to tip the scales of racial bias by editing and creating robust entries for people of color, particularly women.
She also launched an Inclusion Committee at the Rec/IM which worked with experts from around EMU’s campus to ensure facility and programs met the needs of a diverse community including an auxiliary workout space for people on-the-spectrum, various religious observances, wheelchair friendly equipment and specialized staff trainings.
In her spare time, Pamela is a devoted animal lover and proud cat mom. She enjoys exploring the world with her partner, Meredith, and participating in activities that include art or nature.
