Another of Dan Gilbert’s affiliated companies appears ready to move to downtown Detroit, bringing another 1,500 employees.

Title Source, a provider of title insurance, property valuation and settlement services, and Rock Ventures, the umbrella entity for Gilbert’s investments, have scheduled a news conference for Wednesday morning to announce the move to the Gilbert-owned First National Building in Downtown Detroit.

Along with Gilbert and Jeff Eisenshtadt, president of Title Source, Detroit Mayor Dave Bing and George Jackson, president and CEO of the Detroit Economic Growth Corp., are scheduled to speak at the event.

Title Source is currently based in Troy. About 500 of Title Source’s employees will move in immediately, with the rest of the 1,500 moving in over the next six months.
