The Women’s Security Alliance (WomSA) is dedicated to the success of women in cybersecurity and believes a cybersecurity career is possible for anyone with the interest and passion to invest in their future success.

WomSA is a nonprofit organization that empowers women in cybersecurity by:

  • Aligning your strengths and interests to a cybersecurity career path
  • Providing resources such as mentors that guide you through the cyber community
  • Brokering connections to funding resources to provide financial aid for training
  • Developing networking opportunities to meet industry experts, recruiters, and corporate executives

“Michigan is well-positioned to support a healthy cybersecurity workforce,” says WIN’s Executive Director Michele Economou Ureste. “The demand for cybersecurity talent is on the rise and organizations like WOMSA are critical. WOMSA provides the education, training and connections for women in the cybersecurity industry to be successful.”

WIN is joining WomSA in its mission to address the workforce shortage in the tech industry via registered apprenticeship by identifying diverse talent to meet industry needs. Through Apprenti, WomSA members have access to funding for training costs as well as corporate apprenticeships.

Supported by industry experts and Powered by CBI, WomSA provides mentorship, training and networking opportunities for women entering, re-entering, or advancing in the cybersecurity workforce. WomSA supports gender equality and long-term career development by aligning members’ strengths and interests to the proper cybersecurity career path.
